$20.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability
Aluminum Supply Company is looking for a dependable Logistics Associate to join our Detroit warehouse and delivery team.
This is a hands-on position combining warehouse work, material handling, order preparation, and local customer deliveries. You’ll work with aluminum extrusions, sheet and plate, fasteners, and other industrial products while helping make sure the correct material gets to the correct customer safely and on time.
This is not a CDL position. Our deliveries are local, using company-owned flatbed trucks and pickup trucks.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly, works safely, pays attention to details, and can be trusted with our products, equipment, vehicles, and customers.
Pull, verify, stage, and prepare customer orders.
Load and unload aluminum and industrial materials.
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
Receive incoming material and verify shipments against paperwork.
Stock and organize warehouse inventory.
Load company trucks safely and secure material for transportation.
Make local customer deliveries and pickups.
Verify material, quantities, and paperwork before orders leave the warehouse.
Perform basic daily inspections of forklifts, cranes, and delivery vehicles.
Help keep warehouse locations, aisles, staging areas, and equipment clean and organized.
Assist customers and coworkers as needed throughout the day.
Required
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to read a tape measure and work accurately with dimensions and quantities.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse work.
Strong attention to detail.
Safe and responsible work habits.
Professional attitude when dealing with customers and coworkers.
Ability to work independently after training.
Preferred
Previous warehouse, delivery, material-handling, or industrial experience.
Forklift experience.
Overhead crane experience.
Experience handling metal, building materials, long-length products, or similar industrial products.
Forklift, crane, and product training can be provided to the right candidate.

Starting pay is based on relevant experience and demonstrated capability.
The upper end of the range is intended for candidates who can demonstrate strong warehouse and delivery experience, safe driving and material-handling practices, accuracy, equipment proficiency, and the ability to work independently.

Overtime may occasionally be available or required based on business needs.
