Block Kids Building Program

This program, sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), introduces first graders through sixth graders to opportunities within the construction industry. The program’s goal is to create an awareness of, and to promote an interest in, future careers in one of the many facets of the construction industry.

Block Kids is a national building competition. Its origins trace to the construction industry’s need to attract, educate, and train 200,000 new professionals annually. Local winners of the competition advance to a regional competition, and one semi-finalist from each region is entered in the national program competition.
